PETERSEN MEDIA- Staying close to his native Cobble Hill, BC over the weekend, Robbie Price and his team were in action at the Skagit Speedway for the Summer Nationals where Price earned a fourth place finish.

“It was an okay weekend for us,” Price said. “I made a mistake in the feature on Friday night and spun while running sixth, but we were able to bounce back on Saturday night and run fourth in the big show.”

Taking to the Skagit Speedway on Friday night, Price would time the Raylle Auto Sales/Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing No. 21 machine in ninth fastest.

Running fifth in his Friday night heat race, Price would be forced into the B Main event, where he would have one final shot at racing his way into the preliminary night feature event.

Finishing third in the ‘B’, Price would advance into the feature event, where he lined up in the 18th starting position.

Price had a very strong car during the 30-lap feature event, as he was able to slice and dice his way through the field picking up positions at will. Getting into the sixth spot during the race’s closing laps, Price would lose the handle on his machine on the 26th lap and bring out a caution.

From the tail end of the field, Price would pick up a few positions during the race’s final four laps as he closed his Friday night with a 13th place finish.

Sitting 11th in event points after the preliminary night, Price would be locked into the Saturday night 40-lap A Main event.

With the feature being lined up by event points, Price would grid the field from the sixth row, and for the second night in a row would work his way forward. Using a couple of timely cautions to his advantage, Price would work by Cam Smith and Colton Heath to secure a fourth place finish.

“We were pretty strong on Saturday night, and it was nice to rebound after my mistake on Friday night,” Price said. “I have to thank all of the people who continue to help us out on a weekly basis.”

Price and his team would like to thank Raylle Auto Sales, Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Northwest School of Martial Arts, Shark Racing Engines, and Speedmart for their support during the 2015 season.
