PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting back to the dirt after a weekend of racing on the pavement, Robbie Price would pick up a Top-10 finish while competing at the Grays Harbor Raceway in Elma, WA.
“It was a so-so night,” Price said. “I have certainly had much worse nights of racing, but I have also had better nights too.”
Time trials would set the tone for Price’s night as he admittedly timed in poorly as his Raylle Auto Sales/Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing No. 21 entry would end up 14th overall on the speed chart.
Buried in his heat race, a tough track to pass on would see the Cobble Hill, BC driver finish in the fifth spot, and line up for the feature event in the seventh row on this night.
With the preferred line right around the bottom of the speedway, Price was methodical in his moves as he slowly worked his way forward. Running a very patient race, Price would work his way up inside the Top-10.
Battling with Tyler Anderson late in the race, Price would get one final position as he took the checkered flag with a ninth place finish.
“Qualifying so bad really put us in a huge hole for the rest of the night,” Price said. “We were okay, but with the track being so narrow, and not really racy, starting that far back in our heat and our main was really challenging. I am looking forward to running Skagit this weekend.”
Price and his team would like to thank Raylle Auto Sales, Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Northwest School of Martial Arts, Shark Racing Engines, and Speedmart for their support during the 2015 season.
2015 BY THE NUMBERS- Starts-36, Wins-3, Top-5’s-10, Top 10’s-24
ON TAP: Price and his team will now head to the Skagit Speedway in Alger, WA this coming Saturday night.
