Price Puts it On Skagit Speedway Podium

PETERSEN MEDIA- Mother Nature stepped aside and let Robbie Price return to racing at Skagit Speedway on Saturday night where he would turn a strong performance into a third place finish.

“We got going pretty good in the feature,” Price said. “It’s been kind of hard not racing as much as we would like, but things are continuing to go well.”

Timing the Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Wheeler Paint Works/Rod End Supply backed No. 21 machine in sixth fastest in time trials, the Cobble Hill, BC driver would line up on the front row of his heat race.

Using the prime starting position to his advantage, Price would leave the rest of the field in his wake, as he was able to lay down some quick laps around the Skagit Speedway to secure the win.

Gridding the field from the third row for the feature event, Price flexed his muscle early as he was able to get into the third spot by the time the field got through turns one and two on the race’s opening lap.

Holding down the third spot for much of the race, Price would chase after Jason Solwold and Greg Hamilton who ran ahead of him. Unable to get up and challenge the lead duo, Price would actually see Colton get by him and drop him back to fourth late in the race.

Continuing to run strong, Price would not give up on the final spot on the podium. With two laps to go, Price would make a move to get my Greg Hamilton to take the third spot for good.

“We have really good speed, and hopefully this weekend we can get a couple more nights of racing in and continue to get better,” Price added.

Price and his team would like to thank Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Wheeler Paint Works, Rod End Supply, Wildlight Photography, and Shark Racing Engines for their support during the 2017 season.

2017 BY THE NUMBERS- Starts-7, Wins-1, Top-5’s-2, Top 10’s-4
