Problematic Fred Brownfield Classic For Price

PETERSEN MEDIA- Fresh off of a 10th place run at the Dirt Cup, Robbie Price again took on the ASCS National Tour as they invaded the Gray’s Harbor Raceway for the Fred Brownfield Classic over the weekend; unfortunately bad luck plagued the Cobble Hill, BC driver.

“It is has been a rough stretch for our team, and Elma was no different for us,” Price said.

Pulling the one-pill for his heat race, Price and his fellow front row starter would have trouble getting the race started, and the end result was Price being penalized a row, and ending with a fourth place finish.

In ASCS format, losing positions ultimately penalizes a driver and Price would find himself in the Friday night B Main. Lining his Raylle Auto Sales/Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing No. 94 entry up in the second row of the semi, Price would finish fourth and earn a spot in the night’s feature event.

From the back of the pack, Price’s frustrating night would continue as he was unable to make any big progress, as he searched around the Gray’s Harbor Speedway. When the checkered flag flew, Price would end his night with a 17th place finish.

Back in action on Saturday night for the Fred Brownfield Classic finale, Price would get in a heat race altercation that saw his Rod End Supply/Northwest School of Martial Arts/Shark Racing Engines entry get upside down, and again be forced into the B Main event.

As his team thrashed to get his car back together, Price would do what he could aboard a battered machine, but was unable to transfer through to the feature event, and his night would come to an end.

“I have to thank everyone who helped us get our car back together after our heat race on Saturday night,” Price said. “Overall it was a tough weekend. I felt like we got the short end of the stick on Friday night with the false start in the heat race, but that was out of our control. In a funk like we are, the best thing to do is keep racing and fight out of it, and I am confident we will.”

Price and his team would like to thank Raylle Auto Sales, Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Northwest School of Martial Arts, Shark Racing Engines, and Speedmart for their support during the 2015 season.
