Robbie Price 4th at Skagit Speedway Summer Nationals

PETERSEN MEDIA- Continuing to have an extremely strong season at Skagit Speedway, Robbie Price ran well again in one of the track’s marquee events as he would finish fourth during the Bob’s Burgers and Brew Summer Nationals on Saturday night.

“Friday night was kind of tough,” Price said. “The track really didn’t play into our favor and we came from the back of the pack to finish 11th. Luckily things went better on Saturday night, and we really came on at the end.”

Kicking the two-day event off on Friday night, Price would open his 2017 Summer Nationals up by timing his Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Wheeler Paint Works/Rod End Supply backed No. 21 machine 21 quickest during qualifying time trials.

Moving for sixth to fifth in his heat race, the Cobble Hill, BC driver would find himself in the night’s B Main, however he would take care of business and move into the Friday night feature event.

Lining up scratch on the field, Price would do a nice job while running in heavy traffic for the duration of the race. Working his way forward steadily, Price would close the opener out in the 11th spot, which left him looking for more during Saturday night’s finale.

Getting his night off to a much better start, Price would time in seventh quickest in time trials before racing his way to a second place finish during heat race competition.

Advancing into the nightly redraw, the seven pill placed Price in the fourth row for the final feature event of the weekend.

Getting off to a bit of a slow start, Price would find himself back in the 11th spot early in the race but would use a couple of restarts to climb up to eighth. Just past the halfway point, officials would drop the red flag and allow teams to refuel for the final dash to the finish.

Taking over the seventh spot on the restart, Price would pounce in traffic as he made the high-side work after taking the white flag. Surging up into the fourth position, Price would close in on third place’s bumper coming to the checkered as he closed his weekend out with another Top-Five finish.

“I didn’t’ run to well to start the feature event on Saturday night, but once I calmed down and focused we really got moving,” Price added. “Thanks to everyone that continues to help us and support this deal.”

Price and his team would like to thank Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Wheeler Paint Works, Rod End Supply, Wildlight Photography, Tru Square, and Shark Racing Engines for their support during the 2017 season.
