Robbie Price Runs 4th With Civil War Series

PETERSEN MEDIA- Continuing to acclimate to the winged 360ci car, Robbie Price took a huge step over the weekend as he showed great speed during two nights of action that were highlighted by a fourth place finish with the Civil War Series presented by Flowmaster on Saturday night in Petaluma, CA.

“It was a really good weekend for us, and I am really happy with what we accomplished,” Price said.

Visiting the Silver Dollar Speedway on Friday night, Price got his weekend started off great as he timed his Raylle Auto Sales/Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing No. 21 machine fourth fastest, before finishing third in his heat race.

Lining his machine up in the second row for the feature event, Price went toe-to-toe with some of the regions top drivers, as he held his own battling for third and fourth during much of the race. Battling with drivers like Jonathan Allard, Sean Becker and Mason Moore, Price held his own as he worked the bottom of the speedway.

As laps clicked off, Price inched up the speedway as the track continued to change. With just a few laps to go, Price pushed it a little too hard, and slid his machine of the racing surface, and as he gathered it up, he had slipped back to the 17th spot, where he would go on to finish.

A little disappointed in himself, Price regrouped and headed to the Petaluma Speedway on Saturday night to take on the stars and cars of the Civil War Series.

With 30 cars on hand, Price showed great speed again, this time on a track he had never seen before as he timed in second quick. Lining up in the second row of his heat race, Price would jump into the third spot, and rip off 10 lightening fast laps to earn a spot in the dash.

Price’s third place finish in the dash would put him in the second row for the 30-lap feature event. Following a couple of early red flags, Price would settle into the third spot on the extremely fast Petaluma Speedway, as he chased after the lead duo. With passing very tough, Price continued to make laps, and hit his marks.

A late double-file restart saw Price slip back to the fourth spot, but he hung with the lead trio of Bradley Terrell, Jake Haulot, and Justin Sanders.

“I was really pleased with all of the speed we had all weekend,” he added. “I made a mistake on Friday night and that cost us a really good finish. I am really pleased with how things went at Petaluma on Saturday night, and I am really looking forward to racing in Washington this weekend.”

Price and his team would like to thank Raylle Auto Sales, Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Northwest School of Martial Arts, Shark Racing Engines, and Speedmart for their support during the 2015 season.
