Robbie Price Set To Battle With World of Outlaws in Placerville, CA After Competing at Stockton Dirt

PETERSEN MEDIA- Robbie Price returned to action for the first time since the Winter Heat Showdown over the weekend at the Stockton Dirt Track. Though he had a bit of a learning curve, Price is excited to return to action Wednesday night in Placerville, CA.

“Friday night we had some mechanical issues that really didn’t allow me to get any laps before time trials, so that hurt us pretty bad,” Price explained. “Saturday night went a little better for us, but I made some mistakes in the B that cost us a transfer spot.”

Fighting gremlins during Friday night hot laps, Price would end up deep on the speed chart aboard his Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing/Rod End Supply No. 21 after time trials.

Finishing seventh in his heat race, Price would move into the night’s Last Chance Showdown, and after admittedly calming down in the race he was able to make some gain during the 12 lap affair.

Making  his way up to eighth, Price would not move into the feature event, but was pleased with how the night ended up after how it started.

“We did a really good job of getting things ironed out, and I felt the best I did all night in the B,” Price added.

Saturday night Price would again have his struggles in time trials which would bury him in his heat race. Lining up in the 10th spot, a ninth place finish would again force him into the LCS.

Lining up in the fifth row, Price would do a nice job of working his way forward as he got into a transfer position. A late restart would see the Cobble Hill, BC driver make a mistake and it would cost him as he slipped back to the eighth spot and missed out on the feature event.

“I felt really comfortable in the B on Saturday night, but I missed my mark on a late restart and we fell out of a transfer position,” Price said. “I have to thank everyone for their help, and after the weekend I am looking forward to returning to Placerville Speedway on Wednesday.”

Price and his team would like to thank Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Wildlight Photography, Shark Racing Engines, and Speedmart for their support during the 2016 season.
