Russell Motorsports Inc. Extends Gratitude To Autism Awareness

PETERSEN MEDIA: With the calendar flipping to October, the NorCal Posse Shootout presented by Autism Awareness on the 14th and 15th at Placerville Speedway is quickly approaching, and the team at Russell Motorsports Incorporated would like to extend gratitude to Steve and Scott Van Den Broeke of Autism Awareness.

“This race has really come alive and turned into something special before cars have even hit the track,” Scott and Kami Russell explained. “We have had some great people step up to make that possible, and Steve and Scott Van Den Broeke really came forward to make this special.”

Actively supporting various drivers during the season, the Van Den Broke’s can be seen throughout Northern California at various tracks on a weekly basis.

When Scott was diagnosed with Autism at a young age, his father, Steve sought out an enclosed environment that would keep him focused and, the conclusion was sprint car racing. Able to help in the pits when he can, Scott can also be found in the stands videoing drivers to show them their ‘game film’ and offer his welcomed advice.

“Steve and Scott’s commitment to sprint car racing is simply inspiring,” the Russell’s added. “We are really excited to be part of something that helps build awareness for Autism.”

As the race draws closer, there are some other projects in the works to incorporate more awareness for autism during the two day extravaganza, so please be on the lookout for further announcements.

With fire breathing winged sprint cars on tap for both nights, the Friday night program will also feature wingless spec sprint cars as well as the Nor Cal Dwarf Association cars, and Saturday night will be 360’s and Dwarf cars only.

Camping for this event is available, and fans and teams are encouraged to call the office at 530-621-5860 ASAP to reserve their spot.

Friday night tickets will be available starting at just $6 for kids, while juniors and seniors will be admitted for $15, and adult tickets will be $20. Saturday night kids tickets will again be $6, while juniors and seniors will be $18, and adults will be $22. Both nights children five and under will be admitted for free.

With details, driver confirmation and additional sponsorship still being acquired for this event, please stay on the lookout for more information as it becomes available.
