Ryan Robinson Fights Forward to 7th Place Finish

PETERSEN MEDIA: Returning to racing action on Saturday night in Antioch, CA, Ryan Robinson and Weiher Racing fought from the ‘B’ Main, and recorded a seventh place finish in the feature event.

“It was a draw show, so a tough draw made our light that much more difficult,” Ryan Robinson said. “With only three transferring from the heat race, I got to caught up in battling another car and we didn’t make the transfer.”

Pulling the ‘58’ pill in the pre-race draw, Robinson would like up in the third row of his heat race, with only the top-three finishers transferring directly into the feature event.

On a hooked up Antioch Speedway surface, Robinson would battle from his fifth starting position and only garner a fourth place finish, which placed him into one of the twin ‘B’ main events ran on this night.

From the pole, Robinson was able to get the jump and pace the field in the semi. Keeping him Mako Farms, Inc./LP Holdings/RPI backed entry out front, Robinson would pick up the win and keep his night going as he punched his ticket into the feature event.

Lining up in the 13th starting position Robinson had his work cut out, as the speedway was still hooked up and fast during the early stages of the race. Making something happened above the cushion, Robinson was able to crack the Top-10.

Running an aggressive line, Robinson was patient in his efforts, and it would pay off as he took the checkered flag with a seventh place finish.

“The track was still pretty hooked up when the feature went green, so I had to try something to make up ground,” Robinson said. “I got up over the cushion and felt pretty good and it worked out for us. Thanks to Todd and this team for continuing to work hard, and put a really fast car on the track.”

Weiher Racing would like to thank Mako Farms, Inc., LP Holdings, Roseville Precision, Inc., Escalon Body and Frame, Seth’s Racing Engines, Papa Chuck, Threadz Design, JDS Tile & Construction, Inc., and Morrison Concrete for their support in 2020!

BY THE NUMBERS: Races-6, Wins-3, Top 5’s-5, Top 10’s-6
