PETERSEN MEDIA-  Saturday night during Placerville Speedway’s regular season finale, Justin Sanders and the Dale Miller Motorsports team charged from 12thto finish sixth in the feature event as the team now turns their attention to this weekend’s Nor*Cal Posse Shootout back at the speedway.

“We keep chasing our tail a little bit, and Saturday it felt like we just were not very good during a long green flag run, but we were pretty good on the short run,” Sanders said. “We will do some homework this weekend and see if we can get better for this weekend, but still a strong night to come from 12thto finish sixth.”

Amidst the 34 cars checked in to do battle at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night, Sanders kicked the night off by timing the Thompson’s Buick-GMC/Thompson’s Jeep-Ram/Dale Miller Septic, Inc. entry in 11thquickest in qualifying time trials.

Needing to win his heat race to earn a spot in the redraw, the Aromas, CA driver’s second place effort would still move him into the feature event though he would find himself in the 12thstarting position for the 25 lap feature event.

On the freshly manicured surface, Sanders would get off to a nice start as the race came to life. As the green continued to stay out Sanders would work his way through the Top-10 and found himself up in the seventh position when the lone yellow was displayed on the 18thlap.

The race’s lone restart would see Sanders pick up another position as he worked into sixth, where he would go onto finish on this night.

“Big thanks to Dale and Tara Miller for continuing to allow to drive for them,” Sanders said. “Definitely looking forward to two nights at Placerville this Friday and Saturday night to see what we can do.”

The Dale Miller Motorsports team would like to thank Thompson’s Buick-GMC, Thompson’s Jeep-Ram, Dale Miller Septic, Inc., North County Plastering, Anrak Corporation, Yuba-Sutter Aviation, Frank’s Body Shop, Wion’s Powder Coating, Walker Performance Filtration, Factory Kahne Shocks, Smith Titanium, FK Rod Ends, Triple X Race Co., King Racing Products, A.R.T.
