(PETERSEN MEDIA- Watsonville, CA)- Justin Sanders has a flair for the dramatics at Ocean Speedway. The local standout seemingly finds himself in the mix for the win late in the race week after week and the same story played out on Friday night as he grabbed the lead on lap 19 and went on to win his third Ocean Sprints pres. by Taco Bravo feature event of the 2018 season.

When the race came to life it was Cole Macedo grabbing the early lead before Matthew Moles made a bid for the top spot only to see a lap one caution negate his efforts.

Back underway, Macedo would continue to lead the way with Moles hot on his tail but a slight bobble by Moles would see him slip back to fourth as Justin Sanders would find himself in second when the caution flew on the ninth lap.

On an extremely slick Ocean Speedway surface, Macedo would continue to lead the way, as the race for second would pick up between Justin Sanders and Brad Furr. While those two battled Macedo would pull away and find himself in traffic allowing Sanders to close back in on him.

As the leaders jockeyed through slower cars, Sanders would dip low in turns one and two on the 19th lap and take over the top spot. A caution on the 20th lap would restack the field with Sanders leading the way over Macedo, Furr, Bud Kaeding, and Moles with just 10 circuits left in the race.

Out in front, Sanders would simply flex his muscles as he would lead the field in his wake and race his way to his third Ocean Sprints pres. by Taco Bravo win of the season ahead of Macedo, Furr, Kaeding, and Moles who rounded out the Top-Five.

Ryan Bernal would open Friday night up by earning Ray Scheidts Electric Quick Time Honors, while Macedo, Sanders, and Moles would each win heat races.

Matthew Moles would win the Dash and lead the field to green in the feature event. Bernal would have issues on lap one of the feautre and receive the Beer Optics Hard Luck Award, while Kyle Offill would have his elbows up the feature and gain 10 spots over the course of 30-laps and earn the High Five Pizza Hard Charger award.
