PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting the call to pilot the C&M Motorsports No. 7c machine on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway, Sean Becker would put on a show as he carved his way from an 11thstarting position to pick up a third place finish in the 25-lap feature event.

“I really wanted to get a win for Cody and Mandi,” Sean Becker said. “I just didn’t get the job done in our heat race or qualifying and it put us pretty deep in the field. I needed some more laps, but still had a lot of fun coming forward.”

Timing the Moorefield Construction, Inc./PT Shocks/Swartz Diesel/Alturas Tires No. 7c machine in 11thquickest in qualifying time trials, Becker would finish second to Andy Gregg in heat race action which would move him into the feature event.

Not making the redraw, Becker would start mid-pack as he took the green flag from the 11thstarting position on a surface that held up nicely on an unseasonably cool August day at the track.

From the sixth row, Becker would simply put his machine where others weren’t as he was clearly strong working any line that he could find on the Placerville Speedway. Slicing and dicing his way through the field, Becker was methodical in each of his moves.

Continuing to work his way forward, ‘The Shark’ would find himself in the third position when the field was doubled up one final time with just six laps to go. Chasing after Kalib Henry and Justyn Cox, Becker would simply be unable to get to either of the two of them as he capped his night off with a third place finish.

“There are so many good drivers out here now and not enough car owners, so I really have to thank Cody and Mandi for being really good car owners and continuing to support Placerville and SCCT,” Becker said. “It was an honor to driver for them, and I can’t thank them enough for the opportunity.”

The C&M Motorsports team would like to thank Moorefield Construction, Inc., PT Shocks, Swartz Diesel, Alturas Tires, and all of their product sponsors for their continued support.
