Sean Becker Lands on Podium With Civil War Series and SCCT

PETERSEN MEDIA- Running with both the Civil War Series and SCCT over the weekend, Sean Becker and the Menne Motorsports team would tally third place finishes at both events.

“Both nights went extremely well thanks to the never quit attitude of this team and crew,” Sean Becker said. “Both nights we seemed to get better and better each time we hit the track.”

The team’s weekend would get underway on Friday night with the Civil War Series in Chico, CA where Becker would time the Mike’s Hard Lemonade/Cherry Street Mini Storage/Menne Ranch Hay backed No. 75 machine in 12th fastest, just narrowly making the inversion.

Able to muscle his way to a heat race win, Becker would line up eighth in the Dash before picking up a sixth place finish, where he would eventually line up for the 30-lap ‘A’ main event.

When the feature event came to life, Becker wasted to time jumping up into the fourth spot as he chased after Justin Sanders and Shane Golobic who ran just ahead of him.

Taking part in an extremely hard fought battle up front, Becker would take the checkered flag with a third place finish with the Civil War Series.

Saturday night the scene shifted to Antioch Speedway for the first ever race with the new Sprint Car Challenge Tour.

Timing his Astro Titanium/’s Race World sprinter in fifth fastest in his qualifying group, placing him in the third row for the 10-lap race. Becker’s machine came to life in the heat race as he surged to the win and earned a valuable spot in the nightly Dash.

Finishing second in the Dash, Becker would grid the field from the second row of the 30-lap feature event. On a track that was extremely tricky, Becker quickly settled into the third spot as he chased after Shane Golobic and Cory Eliason up front.

With traffic quickly becoming a factor, it would be tough to gain ground on the lead duo. Surviving a wild feature, Becker would close his weekend out with another third place finish.

“I am lucky to drive for such a great team,” Becker said. “All of their knowledge and their ability to make changes put us in position to land on the podium with two great series.”

Becker would like to thank Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Cherry Street Mini Storage, Menne Ranch Hay Inc., Astro Titanium,, Hunt’s Race World, Molecule, Shaver Racing Engines, FK Rod Ends, K&N, Pioneer Auto Body, and The Joie of Seating for their support in 2017.
