PETERSEN MEDIA- Making the trip back to Hanford, CA on Friday night to take part in the rescheduled Morrie Williams Memorial with the King of the West/NARC Series, Sean Becker had a solid night that culminated in seventh place finishes in both 20-lap feature events.
“I am extremely thankful that the Bjork Motorsports team made the trip down to Hanford, CA on Friday night to take part in a really fun race,” Sean Becker said. “I needed to be a little more aggressive, but we were extremely consistent.”
Timing the Bjork Construction/Kaeding Performance backed No. 7B in seventh fastest in qualifying time trials, Becker finished fourth in his eighth lap heat race.
Moving into the first 20-lap feature of the night, Becker rolled off the starting grid from the outside of the fourth row. With the track having a ton of moisture worked into it, passing was tough as much of the field worked at a similar speed.
Getting into seventh, Becker held the position when the checkered flag flew on the opening feature, and with the second feature being inverted off the finish, the Roseville, CA driver took the green flag from the 10th starting position.
Making some quick adjustments between races, Becker was off again as he looked to make a run back towards the front.
With the track still tough to make up ground on, Becker was able to work his way through the Top-10 as he got back into seventh. Trying to get into the Top-Five, nothing quite working out for him, and he closed the second 20-lap feature out with another seventh-place finish.
“We timed in seventh, and finished seventh in both our feature events, so it was still a solid night,” Becker added. “We are all excited for this week ahead as we put the 360ci back in and get ready for Trophy Cup.”
