Short Track Nationals on Tap for Kyle Offill

PETERSEN MEDIA: In what will be his final weekend of action in the Midwest before making his way back to his native California to close the season, Kyle Offill is set to make his first ever appearance at the Short Track Nationals in Little Rock, AR this weekend.

“It has been a really fun trip, and I am very thankful for the opportunity to get a lot of new places in 2020,” Kyle Offill said. “California is full of bullrings, so I am really excited about the Short Track Nationals this weekend to see how we can do against such a talented field of cars.”

Offill heads into this weekend’s event fresh off of last weekend’s ‘Fall Haul’ that took place at 34 Raceway in Burlington, IA.

“We had a pretty good car on Saturday night at 34 Raceway,” Offill added. “We were inside the Top-10, but then we got tangled up with another car. The Sprint Invaders don’t have a work area so we were done after the 10th lap or so.”

Finishing third in his heat race on Saturday night aboard the Country Builders/Ochoco West/Brown and Miller backed No. 88 entry, Offill would just miss out on a berth in the Dash and took the green flag from the 14th starting spot.

From the seventh row, Offill would get a nice start as he was able to quickly work his way into the Top-10. Not satisfied, Offill continue to fight forward as he would get up to the eighth spot within the race’s first 10-laps.

Fighting for seventh, contact with another car would ensue and it would cause subtle damage to Offill’s mount, but with no work area his night would come to an end.

“It was unfortunate to have our night end like it did,” Offill said. “The damage wasn’t too bad, but we needed to repair a few things, so it ended our night. Thanks to Dillon Paddock and all the guys for their hard work. I am looking forward to this weekend.”

Kyle Offill would like to thank Country Builders, Ochoco West, Brown and Miller, Maas Bros., Reliable Lumber, Boise Cascade, Offill Family Farms, Weld Wheels, HRP, FK Shocks, Arai America Helmets, Hinchman Racewear, Maxim Chassis, and B. Scadden Design for their continued support.

BY THE NUMBERS: Races: 27, Wins: 1, Top 5’s: 2, Top 10’s: 6

ON TAP: Offill will be at I-30 Speedway in Little Rock, AR on Friday and Saturday night for the Short Track Nationals.
