Soares Comes Up Short of Bradway Goal

PETERSEN MEDIA- Continuing his season with the King of the West Series, Jarrett Soares has set goals for himself to qualify inside the inversion, and make very feature event. Saturday night at the 25th Annual Dave Bradway Memorial, Soares came up short of both goals, as he ultimately finished 8th in the nights’ Last Chance Showdown.

“I put the team in a hole early, by not qualifying well, and unfortunately, it did not get any better,” Jarrett Soares said.

With 31 cars on hand for the 25th Annual Dave Bradway Jr Memorial, Soares timed his American Tool & Mfg/Performance Powder Coating/A.R.T. backed No. 12 machine in 24th fastest.

Lining up in the third row of his heat race, Soares would have some troubles as he would get over the edge of the speedway, and make contact with the wall causing front end issues.

Retiring from the heat with damage, Soares and his team were able to make repairs, and get him ready for the Last Chance Showdown. Lining up in the eighth position, Soares would chase after Mike Monahan, and Rowdy McLennon, as he looked for the final transfer spot into the feature event.

Following a late race stoppage, Soares got a great start, as he tried everything he could to steal a transfer position, but came up just short, as his night would come to a close in the B Main.

“We experimented with our car a little bit through the night, and I feel like we got it pretty good,” Soares said. “I made some good laps in the B main, now I just need to piece everything together so we can have a strong night.”

Jarrett and his Soares Motorsports team would like to thank American Tool & Mfg., Performance Powder Coating, A.R.T., Bailey Brothers Racing Engines, Simpson Race Products, McMahan Motorsports, CSI Shocks, and Brad Scadden Designs for their support.

ON TAP: Jarrett will be back in action with the King of the West Series on Saturday night in Petaluma, CA.
