PETERSEN MEDIA- After a week off following an extremely busy Gold Cup week, Jarrett Soares is looking forward to reuniting with the King of the West Series on Saturday night at the Placerville Speedway.
“Gold Cup was a really fun and busy week running the Outlaw Kart as well as the 360ci and 410ci races,” Soares said. “It was a nice week off, but we are all looking forward to Placerville Speedway this weekend.”
In his most recent action, Soares took part in the second annual Kyle Larson Outlaw Kart Showcase to open up Gold Cup Race of Champions week. With a ton of Outlaw Karts on hand, Soares would find himself in the C Main, and looked to be on his way to the B Main until he got into the wall and got upside down.
Climbing aboard his winged sprint car to take on the Civil War Series on Wednesday night of Gold Cup, Soares was one of the few who could get moving forward in the feature event as rubber went down on the speedway very early in the race.
Lining the American Tool & Mfg./C&H Veteran Enterprises/Dickens Cider No. 12 machine up scratch on the field, the Discovery Bay, CA driver was able to keep his tires under him as he worked his way up to finish in the 13th spot.
Friday and Saturday would see Soares take on the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series where he would finish 12th in the Saturday night B Main event.
“Our last time out we did some good things, and we also had some struggles,” Soares added. “My guys work hard, and we will look to have a good showing Saturday night.
