PETERSEN MEDIA- Jarrett Soares has already put a very tough night in Chico, CA behind him. After getting upside down in his heat race and thrashing to make the call for the B Main, Soares is already looking forward to the Stockton Dirt Track this weekend.
“It was a horrible night looking back at it,” Soares said. “We went out early in time trials, wrecked in our heat, and ended up not finishing the B.”
With 34 cars on hand for the 3rd Annual David Tarter Memorial, Soares would be the first car on the clock as he timed the American Tool & MFG/Performance Powder Coating/A.R.T. no. 12 machine in 23rd fastest.
Lining up sixth in his heat race, late contact would see the Bailey Brother Racing Engines/Simpson Race Products/McMahan Motorsports backed No. 12 get upside down causing extensive damage to the car.
Thrashing to get the car put back together for the B main event, Soares and company just made the call for the race as he gridded the field from the fourth row. With his car not right after the heat race crash, Soares would pull into the pit area and his night would come to a close.
“It was a long night where absolutely nothing went our way,” Soares added. “We are all trying to forget about it as fast as we can, and get ready to run Stockton this weekend.”
