PETERSEN MEDIA- With the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series pointed towards the Skagit Speedway in Alger, WA, Jason Solwold is looking forward to testing his Shaylen Raye Motorsports team against the best in the world on his home turf.

“I was a little disappointed with how Knoxville went for us a couple of weeks ago, but our 410ci program is strong, and I am looking forward to seeing how we stack up this weekend,” Jason Solwold said.

Returning back to the Evergreen State after a trip to the Midwest, Solwold and company checked in at the Skagit Speedway for a night of 360ci action before ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ rolls into town.

Having a rather tough night, Solwold and his Scottie’s Plumbing/NW Team Excavating/KarMart Motorsports team would fight some issues for most of the night, though would overcome to finish in the fourth spot.

“We were kind of all over the place on Saturday night,” Solwold explained. “It was definitely not the kind of night this race team is accustomed to. We fought some issues for most of the night, but we were able to still finish fourth.”

Earning quick time honors to open up the night, Solwold would line up in the third row for the 25-lap feature event. Though his car was a little sporadic handling wise, Solwold would work his way up into the fourth spot as he would battle with Bud Ashe for the third spot.

With Solwold working on Ashe lap after lap, it would be the best battle on the speedway. With the Burlington, WA driver trying everything he could to get on the podium, he would come up short as he took the checkered flag in the fourth spot.

“It was nice to get back home and race, and after some hard work this week we are looking forward to World of Outlaws weekend,” Solwold added. “Thanks to everyone who is on the side of this car, and who works on this car for all of their continued support.”

Solwold and the Shaylen Raye Motorsports team would like to thank Scottie’s Plumbing, NW Team Excavating, KarMart Motorsports, Doyle Guffie’s Rayle Auto Sales, Pops Entertainment, Vic’s 66, Speedmart, After Hours Painting, Triple X Race Co., Al Parker Race Engines, Wings Unlimited, Slade Shocks, Rob Graham Trucking, Wings Unlimited, Meyer Sings, Vahlco Wheels, Fuel Safe, and Pro Signs for their continued support.

ON TAP: Solwold and the Shaylen Raye Motorsports team will return home and hit the Skagit Speedway this Friday and Saturday night as they are set to take on the World of Outlaws.
