Spencer Bayston Makes First KWS Start Memorable as He Clean Sweeps with Tarlton Motorsports

PETERSEN MEDIA- Slated to run the full King of the West schedule with Tarlton Motorsports in 2020, circumstances delayed the start of the season to Saturday night where Spencer Bayston made the most of his debut and clean swept the event.

“It felt really good to get back in the 21 and build on our first weekend of running,” Spencer Bayston said. “We ran the 360 on Friday in Watsonville, CA and that led to a few more troubles throughout the night, but it gave Paul Baines and I the chance to narrow down where I felt we needed to be for my comfort inside the car.”

After pulling off early during Friday night’s feature event, Bayston and Tarlton Motorsports dropped the 410 powerplant in and headed to Keller Auto Speedway in Hanford, CA for the opening event of the King of the West season.

Never seeing the place before, or even taking a lap with the series, Bayston got off to a hot start as he earned quick time honors aboard the Tarlton and Son. Inc/Executive Auto Sales/Pabco Gypsum backed No. 21 machine.

Moving into heat race action, the Lebanon, IN native continued to flex his muscle as he carved his way forward on the slick surface and scored the win and gave him enough points to earn a spot in the Dash.

With confidence and momentum on his side, Bayston would win the Dash and put the famed Tarlton Motorsports machine on the pole for the 30-lap feature event.

As the track continued to slick off, Bayston would not falter as he continued his dominant first night with the series. Leading the way from start to finish, Bayston rode to victory and capped off a perfect first night with the series.

“After finding those changes we needed on Friday, it carried over to Saturday where we had just about as good of a night that you could ask for,” Bayston added. “Having the feel inside the car gave me the confidence to run a hard race and to be aggressive in traffic and stay in front of Bud Kaeding. Having a night like that gets me more excited to jump back in their car again. Thank you to everyone involved.”

Tarlton Motorsports would like to thank Tarlton and Son, Inc., Executive Auto Sales, Pabco Gypsum, Bandy and Associates, All Star Performance, and BG Lubricants for their support.
