Steven Tiner Picks Up Top-10 During Placerville Speedway’s Regular Season Finale with C&M Motor

PETERSEN MEDIA- Saturday night at Placerville Speedway, Steven Tiner returned to the seat of the C&M Motorsports No. 7c entry and picked up another Top-10 finish with the team as he came home in ninth.

“I made a couple too many mistakes and it cost us big time,” Steven Tiner said. “I can’t thank Cody and Mandi enough for continuing to let me drive their car, and hopefully I can redeem myself this weekend. I feel pretty bad for letting them down.”

Tiner’s night got off to a good start as he timed the Moorefield Construction, Inc./PT Shocks/Swartz Diesel/Alturas Tires backed No. 7c machine in seventh fastest in time trials.

Scheduled to line up in the second row of his heat race, a false start would put the Elverta, CA driver on the front row of the race and in prime position to earn a berth in the redraw.

Mashing the throttle when the green flag was displayed, Tiner would get the early jump on the slicked off surface. Leading all eight laps, Tiner would grab the win and move into the redraw where the six pill placed him in the third row to start the 25-lapper.

When the race came to life, Tiner would work on the cushion. Relentless running the top, Tiner would continue to fight inside the Top-5, until the lone caution of the night flew on the 18thlap.

When the race resumed, Tiner would look to make up some ground on the cushion and it would back fire as he would get over the edge and fall back a few positions. Gathering back up, Tiner would end his night with a ninth place finish.

“It was just my fault,” Tiner said. “Thanks to Cody and MF and everyone for giving me a good car. Hoping I can give Cody and Mandi a couple of good finishes this weekend during the Shootout.”

The C&M Motorsports team would like to thank Moorefield Construction, Inc., PT Shocks, Swartz Diesel, Alturas Tires, and all of their product sponsors for their continued support.
