Subpar Night For Hendrickson at Knoxville Raceway

PETERSEN MEDIA: Taking the wheel of the VanDyke No. 5h at the Knoxville Raceway on Saturday night, Dakota Hendrickson had a tough night that saw him finish in the 21st position.

“It was not the night we wanted,” Hendrickson said. “We just seemed to be off all night, and really struggled.”

With 27 cars checked into the pit area, Hendrickson timed the Lucas Oil/K&N Products/JRI Shocks backed No. 5h machine in 19th quickest, putting him in the first heat race of the night.

From the fourth row, Hendrickson would battle with Chris Martin for position, with him bringing the NAAKE Suspension/FSR Radiators entry home with an eighth place finish.

Lining up in the 10th row for the 18-lap feature event, Hendrickson could not seem to get going, as he struggled to move forward. With a couple of caution flags bunching the field up, Hendrickson would continue to run where he started, as he would finally bring his machine across the finish line with a 21st place finish.

“It is a night that we want to put behind us very quickly,” he added. “Huge thanks to this team, and hopefully we can get a nice finish this weekend.”

The Van Dyke Motorsports team would like to thank Lucas Oil,  K&N Products, JRI Shocks, NAAKE Suspension, FSR Radiators, for their support during the year.
