PETERSEN MEDIA- Taking to the Marysville Raceway on Saturday night for the Gold Fever Open, Sean Becker experienced suspension issues on the Monhoff Motorsports No. 35 machine that would knock him out of the 30-lap A Main event.
“I messed up in qualifying, but we had a good car in the feature and were moving forward until we had some suspension issues,” Sean Becker said.
A slight bobble in time trials would see Becker time the Monhoff Motorsports No. 35 machine in seventh fastest in time trials before he raced his way to a third place finish in his heat race and safely made it into the 30-lap A Main event.
Failing to earn a spot in the Top-Eight redraw, the Roseville, CA pilot would roll off in the sixth row, and would quickly begin working his way forward on a track that was not easy to pass on.
Fighting up into the eighth spot by the 12th lap, Becker would come to a stop with suspension issues and take his machine to the work area. As his crew worked feverishly to get the problem rectified the race restarted without Becker on the track and his night came to an early end.
“It was unfortunate to have a DNF, but luckily it wasn’t because of something really bad for Dan Monhoff and his team,” Sean Becker said. “I have to thank Dan for all the opportunities he gave me in 2015 and I look forward to see what 2016 might have to offer.”

ON TAP: Becker will now pilot the Friends and Family No. x1 machine at the Civil War season finale on November 7th at the Stockton Dirt Track, and could also be in the Menne Motorsports No. 75 machine for the King of the West finale on the same night.
