PETERSEN MEDIA- Though it wasn’t a weekend where he contended for wins, Kerry Madsen still showed his consistency as he scored another Top-10 finish with the World of Outlaws, by way of his 10th place run at the Berlin Raceway on Saturday night.
“It was not our best weekend, but we moved forward in both feature events,” Madsen said.
Timing in 9th fastest, Madsen would run second in his heat race, but would not be eligible for the night’s dash, and lined up 11th in the feature event.
On the slick surface, cars jockeyed for position, but big charges were not happening on this night, as Madsen was able to gain a spot, as he came across the stripe in the 10th spot aboard his Keneric Racing/American Racing No. 29 machine.
“The track was pretty slick, and we had a lot of side-by-side racing, but we just couldn’t get a big run forward,” Madsen said.
On Friday night at the Bloomington Speedway, Madsen timed his machine in 18th quick on the tight bullring, and from that point on he had his work cut out for himself.
Scoring a fourth place finish in his heat race, Madsen moved into the feature event, though he would grid the field from the 17th spot.
On the tight bullring, Madsen used both the cushion and the bottom of the speedway, as there was action all over the track. Racing wheels to wheel, sometimes three wide, Madsen would work his way forward and ultimately pick up a 13th place finish.
“I have to thank my guys for working hard all weekend,” Madsen said. “We were just a little off, but I know we will bounce back, and hopefully be a little better this coming weekend.”

ON TAP: Madsen and his Keneric Racing will now head back to Pennsylvania where they will be at the Williams Grove Speedway this Friday and Saturday night for the National Open.
