Tim Crawley and C&M Motorsports Tackle Trophy Cup

PETERSEN MEDIA- Though the results weren’t what Tim Crawley and C&M Motorsports had in mind for Trophy Cup, the team was able to race into the Friday night feature event during the popular event.

“Our results weren’t what we had hoped for, any racer is only happy with wins,” Tim Crawley said. “With that being said, I had a great time with C&M Motorsports. They have great equipment, and were great to race with.”

Kicking off on Thursday night, a late draw would create a tough opener as the Arkansas native timed in 35thquick before running sixth in his heat race.

Moving into the ‘B’, Crawley would be unable to race into a transfer position as he would close the night out in 14th.

Going out early for time trials on Friday night, Crawley’s night got off to a much better start as he timed the Moorfield Construction, Inc./PT Shocks/Swartz Diesel/Altura Tires machine in fourth fastest on this night.

Finishing third in his heat race, Crawley would transfer into the feature event as he looked to cap off a strong night with a good point total. Working the cushion, Crawley would get up into the wall and would be a roll over victim and end his night.

Sitting 24thin points heading into Saturday, Crawley was on the outside of the lock in spots for the feature, but with a heat race still to run he would have one final chance to add to his total.

A seventh place finish would drop him to 30thin points and put him in the sixth row of the ‘B’ Main. Working his way forward in the ‘B’, as he chased after one of the 4 four positions into the feature, Crawley would come up short in his pursuit as he finished seventh to end his weekend out in California.

“I personally feel like I let them down on Friday night,” he added. “We had a good points night going, and it would have set us up really good for Saturday night. Thankful these guys gave me a great opportunity to take part in such a marquee event with some of the best drivers in the country. Trophy Cup is cool in the sense that you get the best of the best competing in an event that raises so much money for the Make-a-Wish Foundations. Again, really want to thank Cody and Mandi for bringing me out, and hopefully we can do it again.”

The C&M Motorsports team would like to thank Moorefield Construction, Inc., PT Shocks, Swartz Diesel, Alturas Tires, and all of their product sponsors for their continued support.
