PETERSEN MEDIA: Proving to be a potent combination in 2018, Josh Bates Motorsports in excited to announce that California favorite, Tim Kaeding will return to the seat of the No. 42x machine in 2019 as the team will look for another SCCT Team Championship as well as the Driver Championship with the San Jose, CA native.

“I am really excited to get back in the No. 42x machine in 2019,” TK said. “We had a great year in 2018 up until I got hurt, but the guys stayed the course, worked hard, and still captured the SCCT Owner’s Championship. I think we can have a good year and be in the mix again this season.”

The early plan for Bates Motorsports will to contest the 2019 Sprint Car Challenge Tour Championship, a schedule that boasts some high paying and marquee events. When the SCCT is off, the team will compete in other marquee events around the region and TK will fill is schedule with some other opportunities just as he did in 2018.

Aside from the return to TK to the No. 42x machine, the team is also pleased to welcome back primary sponsor, R&B Company. After a successful first season together, both parties are thrilled to get 2019 underway.

“We are excited to get back on board with Josh Bates, the team, and Tim Kaeding,” Roger Hamilton of R&B Company said. “It wasn’t something we planned on doing last year, and it just worked out with us putting a deal together to come on board, and we eventually brought some of our partner vendors aboard as well. In fact, we are excited to get Clow Valve involved with the team this year.”

I think we have the makings to another great year with Heavy D on the wrenches and Dave Haver tuning on our engine.”
