PETERSEN MEDIA- With the season starting to come to a close in the Midwest, Tim Kaeding and his Lunstra Motorsports team are continuing to run well, as the San Jose, CA driver raced his way to three Top-Five finishes over the weekend.

“Last week I said I thought we had found something, and we backed that up by coming out and running very well all weekend long,” Tim Kaeding said.

Friday night the NSL took to the high-banked Eagle Raceway in Eagle, NE where Kaeding timed the Dammer Trucking/Folkens Bros. Trucking/Sioux Falls Ford No. 3 entry in second fastest.

Racing from fourth to second in his heat race, Kaeding would line up in the third row for the 20-lap Nebraska Cup feature event. On a night where passing was at a premium, Kaeding would battle the likes of Austin McCarl and Brian Brown as he raced his way to a fifth place finish.

Heading to Cedar Lake Speedway on Saturday night, the “TK Express” would qualify seventh fastest in time trials, before finishing third in his heat race. Lining up on the front row of the A Main, TK would fall to the second spot as Brian Brown shot to the lead, before Terry McCarl put him in the third spot a lap later.

A lap six restart would see Kaeding and Bronson Maeschen battle for show position with Kaeding ultimately settling into the fourth spot. Running solidly in the fourth position, Kaeding would feel pressure from Friday night winner, Billy Balog, for the fourth spot, but Kaeding was having nothing of it as he took fourth at the checkered flag.

Sunday night would be the season finale event at the Huset’s Speedway and subsequently the final race ever under the Huset’s Speedway banner as new ownership will take over in 2016.

Timing in fifth during time trials, Kaeding would again pick up a third place finish in his heat race aboard the Yager Agriculture Supply/EMI/Matt’s Repair backed machine.

In the feature event, Kaeding would come on late as he was able to race his way by Lynton Jeffrey and Dusty Zomer to get into the second spot, as he chased after Terry McCarl.

Looking for a way into the race lead, Kaeding would settle for second, as he also finished second in the season long championship standings.

“I have to thank Dave and Jamie Lunstra for continuing to support us weekly,” Tim Kaeding said. “I would have loved to get them the final win at Huset’s but I think they were proud of what we did.”

The Lunstra Motorsports team would like to thank Dammer Trucking, Folkens Bros. Trucking, Sioux Falls Ford, Yager Agriculture Supply, EMI, Matt’s Repair, Octane Ink, and Trac2Trail Arctic Cat for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: TK and the Lunstra Motorsports team are now set to battle the World of Outlaws this Friday night at the Clay County Fairgrounds and on Saturday night at the Deer Creek Speedway.
