PETERSEN MEDIA- Having a tough three-day Memorial Day Weekend, Tim Kaeding and the Lunstra Motorsports team are looking forward to three nights of action against the ‘Greatest Show on Dirt’ on familiar soil this weekend as they are set to take part in the Jackson Nationals.
“Last weekend was rough for our team,” Kaeding said. “We are very much looking forward to three nights against the Outlaws at Jackson Motorplex this weekend.”
Over the Memorial Day holiday, Kaeding and company were in action at the Jackson Motorplex, Knoxville Raceway, and Lawrenceburg Speedway aboard the Folkes Bros. Trucking/Dammer Trucking/Mihm Trucking backed No. 3.
‘Friday night at Jackson was by far our best night,” Kaeding added. “We lined up ninth in the feature event and were able to make up some ground on a tough track. Starting in the fifth row, it was nice to close our night with a Top-Five finish.”
Saturday night the scene shifted to the Sprint Car Capitol of the World, Knoxville Raceway for a return visit following a previous rain out.
“Knoxville didn’t go well at all,” Kaeding noted. “We just couldn’t seem to make any speed. We timed in 14th, ran fourth in our heat, and ended up finishing 15th in the feature.”
Taking Sunday off to regroup, Kaeding and the team made the trip to Lawrenceburg, IN to take on the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series.
“Monday night we started okay, but in the feature we got lapped early and that was the end of our night basically,” Kaeding said. “We timed in 13th, had to go to the ‘B’, which we won, and ended up finishing 20th in the ‘A’.”
