Tiner Hirst Enterprise and Kyle Hirst Claim SCCT Title with 8th Place Finish on Saturday Night

PETERSEN MEDIA: Embarking on the 2019 season with no plans to compete for points anywhere and simply race to promote the new Tiner Hirst Enterprise Speed Shop, Steven Tiner and Kyle Hirst ended up chasing points with the Sprint Car Challenge Tour, and when the curtain closed on season Saturday night, Hirst emerged as the only driver ever to win the Championship with the series as he captured it for the third consecutive season.

“We actually ran the first three Sprint Car Challenge Tour events, and looked at the schedule and figured we had a couple more to hit. At that point we decided to just go for it since we were going to run nearly half of it with the way we had laid it out,” Kyle Hirst said. “It paid off for us, and to win this deal for THE is pretty cool, and to win it with so many friends and family helping out just makes it all that much more special.”

Enduring damage during the most recent SCCT event, the points tightened up dramatically heading into the season finale between Hirst, Sean Becker, and Tim Kaeding.

With the advantage heading into the night, Hirst simply focused on keeping his nose clean and keeping his competitors close to him.

Timing the Tiner Hirst Enterprise No. 94 machine in fifth fastest in time trials, Hirst would finish 4thand be the only title contender to transfer directly into the main event.

Lining up back in the 16thposition, Hirst would need to simply finish eighth to clinch the title and not worry about Becker who came into the feature 15 points behind him.

On the slick racing surface, Hirst wasn’t able to make the moves that he had hoped for, but he made the moves that he needed to make as he inched his way closer and closer to that magic number position.

Getting inside the Top-10, Hirst would soon find himself in eight and well on his way to his third consecutive SCCT title.

When the race came to a close, it was official, Hirst would remain the series’ only driver champion, and THE was crowned owner champions in their first year of existence.

“Just a cool deal to pull this off,” Hirst said. “Racing and working with one of my best friends in Steven Tiner, has been so great, and it really has been a fun year from start to finish. There are a ton of people to thank, and we truly couldn’t do it without them all.

The Tiner Hirst Enterprise Racing team would like to thank Tiner Hirst Enterprise, Larry Davis Farms, GP Development, Wright Process Systems, Fisher Racing Engines, K1, Wilwood, XYZ Machine, DMI, HRP, Sway Away, Kevin Sharrah Designs, Prior Engineering, System One Pro Ignition, Sweet Manufacturing, Viking Engineering, Schoenfeld, Warehouse Paint, and Roseville Precision for their continued support.
