TK Express Rolls to Third Place Finish at Keller Auto Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning to the seat of the Roth Motorsports No. 83Jr on Saturday night in Hanford, CA, Tim Kaeding had a solid night during his reunion with the team as he picked up a third-place finish in what was the opening night of racing in California.

“I can’t thank the entire Roth Family enough for allowing me to come drive for them,” Tim Kaeding said. “Saturday night definitely wasn’t a bad night for us. We put ourselves in contention from the get-go, and ultimately we ended up third.”

41 cars packed into the Keller Auto Speedway pits, and Kaeding kicked his night off by timing the Roth Enterprises/HR Livestock Transportation/Jason, Tara, and Cole Roth Cattle Co. No. 83Jr machine in third quickest in his qualifying group.

Picking up a heat race win from his front row starting position, Kaeding’s fifth place finish in the Dash placed him in the third row to start the 30-lap feature event.

With the field getting out of sorts in front of him once the green flag flew, Kaeding would actually give up a spot amongst the craziness and slip back to sixth before jumping back into the Top-5 on the fourth lap.

Working around the Keller Auto Speedway, Kaeding would continue to work his way forward as he jumped into fourth on the eighth lap where he would run for a majority of the race as he chased after Joel Myers, Jr., Shane Golobic, and Carson Macedo.

Slipping back to fifth briefly with five laps to go, Kaeding would jump bac into fourth on the race’s 27th lap before moving into third with just two laps to go. In the final two laps, Kaeding would make a serious bid for the second position but would come up just short at the line as he capped his night off with a third-place finish.

“I really felt like we really got going in the feature,” Kaeding said. “We really came on at the end of the race and had a nice finish. It was a good night; I can’t complain, and I am really looking forward to racing with these guys for the next few weeks.”

The Roth Motorsports team would like to thank Roth Enterprises, HR Livestock Transportation, Jason, Tara, And Cole Roth Cattle Co., Roth Investments, FK Rod Ends, Vahlco Wheels, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, Kent Performance, Kaeding Performance, and Smith Titanium for their support in 2021.
