Tough Trip To Stockton For Gregg

PETERSEN MEDIA: Taking on the King of the West Series on Saturday night for his final race in 2015, Andy Gregg continued to figure out his new car as he struggled a bit at the 32nd Annual Tribute To Gary Patterson.

“We have been fighting to get a handle on this new car,” Andy Gregg said. “We brought the 16x out back in September and I haven’t been able to get comfortable in it. We are working hard, but we just struggled on Saturday night.”

Timing the GUTS/ARP Enterprises/Capitol Ace Hardware No. 16x machine in 17th fastest, Gregg would line up in the second row of his heat race. Able to pick up a few positions, the Placerville, CA driver would finish in the fourth spot and move into the 30-lap A Main event.

Lining up in the eighth row of the 30-lap feature event, Gregg would get tight in turns three and four on the start of the race and it would result in him getting over the cushion, and spinning his machine to a stop.

From the back of the pack Gregg would go to work on the extremely rough and heavy Stockton Dirt Track surface, but fighting an evil racecar, Gregg would opt to pull back into the pit area just 10-laps in the feature event.

“The way the track was and how my car felt, I thought better of it and called it an early night,” Gregg said. “I have to thank everyone who stepped in and helped us get this car on the track late in the summer. It was a fun season, and I am excited to see what 2016 has to offer.”

Andy would like to thank GUTS, ARP Enterprises, Capitol Ace Hardware, K&N, FK Rod Ends, King Racing Products, BR Motorsports, FK Shocks, Wilwood, , and Nail It Roofing  for their support in 2015.

ON TAP: Greg’s 2015 season has come to a close.
