PETERSEN MEDIA- Though his season opening trip to Las Vegas, NV did not go as hoped, Price was pleased with the progress his team made with his car during two nights of racing with the World of Outlaws.
“It was a learning experience to say the least,” Robbie Price said. “We had some mechanical issues set us back the start the trip, but by the end of the two days I felt pretty good in the car, and hope that can carry over to our trip to California.”
Thursday night at the Las Vegas Dirt Track mechanical issues during hot laps would keep price off the track durinfntime trials as he team worked on his machine.
Lining up at the back of his heat race, the Cobble Hill, BC driver would pass a few cars to finish in the eighth spot and would be forced into the C main.
Continuing to adjust to the big Las Vegas Dirt Track, Price would grid the field from the 11th starting spot in the C Main and again work his way forward a few spots to end his night with an eighth place finish.
Friday night would see Price get more laps under his belt, though he would still admittedly struggle to time in. Starting at the rear of his heat, Price would fight his car a little and finish in the 10th spot where he would again be forced into the C main.
As the team continued to get the car to Price’s liking, he was pleased with how things felt in the ‘C’. Though he lined up ninth and finished sixth, Price felt good in the car though he was disappointed with the result.
“As the weekend moved along, I feel like we did some things to car that I really liked,” Price added. “Though it wasn’t a great finish on Friday night, I felt really good during the final laps, and think we will have a good starting spot this weekend. I have to thank everyone involved with us this year for making this all possible.”
Price and his team would like to thank Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Wildlight Photography, and Shark Racing Engines for their support during the 2017 season.
