PETERSEN MEDIA- Robbie Price’s rough Fall continued in Tulare, CA over the weekend as a frustrating Trophy Cup brings his 2015 season to a close.

“Trophy Cup had its moments of good, but the moments of bad stand out to me, and I am bummed that is how our season will end,” Robbie Price said.

Pulling a great pill to get his weekend started, Price would time his Raylle Auto Sales/Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing No. 21p machine in seventh fastest for the Thursday program and 19th fastest for the Friday program as both shows were ran on Friday due to rain.

Heat race action for the Thursday program saw Price and Bud Kaeding make contact resulting in Price getting over on his side. With some top wing damage, Price would continue on as he would finish in the fifth spot.

Moving into the B Main, the Cobble Hill, BC driver would line up in the sixth row, and when the green flag dropped Price was able to pass a few cars and it looked as if he might contend for a transfer spot.

As the laps clicked off, Price would feel his car start to go away and he would slowly drift backwards as he finished in the 19th spot.

Following the semi, Price and his team began regrouping for the night show, where Price timed in 19th fastest and lined up on the front row of his heat race. Needing to win to move into the feature event, Price would slide back to finish in the third spot and be forced into the C Main.

Gridding the field from the second row of the C, Price would get pinched on the start of the race and would find himself back in the 12th spot, and with a lot of ground to make up for a B Main transfer spot.

Keeping his composure, Price would focus on getting by cars, and was able to work his way back up to fifth, but it would be just one spot short of a B Main transfer position.

Saturday night would see contact in his heat race get him upside down, and his Trophy Cup would come a close.

“I made a ton of mistakes all weekend long, and am really disappointed in myself,” Price said. “With this being our last race of the year, it really leaves a bitter taste in your mouth, but all we can do now is rebuild and get ready for 2016.”

Price and his team would like to thank Raylle Auto Sales, Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal, Tiger Towing, Rod End Supply, Northwest School of Martial Arts, Shark Racing Engines, and Speedmart for their support during the 2015 season.
