Upstart USAC Super 600’s Strike Deal To Offer 2016 Champion Midget Opportunity In 2017

PETERSEN MEDIA- Taking a page out of the USAC history books, the upstart USAC Super 600 Micro division is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with MF Motorsports to offer the inaugural series champion a race aboard one of the teams potent midgets during the 2017 season.

“We are extremely excited with the package we have put together with MF Motorsports,” Series Director, Doug Lockwood said. “This is all about driver development, so to offer our champion a chance to run a midget is really exciting for the future of the sport.”

In it’s first year of existence, the USAC Super 600’s will off points at all events at the Plaza Park Raceway in Visalia, CA, the Dixon Speedway in Dixon, CA and at the Limerock Speedway in New York. Points will also be up for grabs on three occasions at the Bakersfield Speedway, and during one event at the Santa Maria Speedway.

With a wide variety of tracks to chose from, the driver crowned as the series champion will be the one who has the highest 15 race average over the season.

“It is a new series that we are all really excited about,” Lockwood added. “Micros have been huge in California for years, and we are hoping the USAC sanction brings more notierity to the class, and with this Midget opportunity for the Champion, we are hoping that it helps the class continue to grow.”

ON TAP: The USAC Super 600’s will be in action this Friday night at the Plaza Park in Visalia, CA and on Saturday night in Dixon, CA and Limerock, NY.
