PETERSEN MEDIA- Changing his plans on Saturday with storms cancelling his scheduled race in Petaluma, CA, Robbie Price and his team made the trip to Placerville Speedway where Price finished in the 11th spot.
“It wasn’t the greatest night with the track being pretty hooked up due to the rain, but there were some positives,” Price noted.
Timing the Millstone Heating and Sheet Metal/Tiger Towing/Rod End Supply backed No. 21 machine in 9th fastest during qualifying time trials, the Cobble Hill, BC driver would go on to finish second during his heat race.
Just missing out on a berth into the redraw, Price would line up in the ninth spot for the 25 lap A Main event, but an incident on the opening lap of the race would force Price to the back of the pack on a hooked up and narrow racing surface.
From the tail end of the field, Price would do what he could to stay out of trouble, but admittedly couldn’t seem to keep his nose clean. Though it wasn’t the best finish on paper, Price would nearly get back into the Top-10, as he ended his night with an 11th place finish.
“If were not involved in the tangle on the first lap we most likely finish well inside the Top-10 with how the track was,” Price added. “I thought we had a pretty good car in the main, but circumstances sort of hindered us.”
