PETERSEN MEDIA- Despite being involved in a violent collision on Saturday night in Stockton, CA, Willie Croft is already looking forward to racing action this Saturday night in Placerville, CA.
“It was a pretty hard crash, but I am thankful to be able to walk away from it as all my safety equipment did it’s job,” Willie Croft said. “Was definitely sore, and I am thankful for everyone that reached out to check in on me.”
Following a fourth place showing on Friday night at Ocean Speedway after leading laps early in the night, Croft followed the King of the West Series to Stockton Dirt Track on Saturday night.
Just past the halfway point in the feature event, Croft would be involved in a very scary accident that left his machine completely destroyed. Amidst the hard impact and the torn up equipment, Croft was able to climb out under his own power and walk away from the scene.
“I am just grateful the only thing hurt was the equipment, and it really is a testament to the safety equipment and the cars we run today,” Croft added. “I also have to thank everyone who came over and helped get everything back into the trailer. Fortunately we are able to race on, and I am looking forward to getting back to it at Placerville Speedway on Saturday night. We have been gaining on it on race by race.”
