PETERSEN MEDIA- Reuniting with Dan Monhoff over the weekend, Sean Becker raced to his first win of the season during Kid’s Bike Night at Marysville Raceway.

“Saturday night went great, and we had a lot of fun being back at the track together,” Sean Becker said. “I am really excited to give Dan Monhoff another win and to do it in honor of his father John, who was the track photographer at Calistoga Speedway and recently passed away, was really special.”

Heading to Marysville Raceway, Becker got the night kicked off in fine form as he timed the Monhoff Racing No. 35 in second fastest in qualifying time trials.

Moving into heat race competition, Becker lined up in the outside of the second row based on his qualifying time and was able to slice and dice his way forward. Working his way into the second spot by the conclusion of the race, Becker was solidly in the redraw.

As luck would have it, Becker found himself with the one, and was on the pole for the 25-lap affair. With the waving of the green flag, ‘The Shark’ was shot out of a cannon as he jumped out to the early lead.

Setting a good pace, Becker would see his lead evaporate with the waving of an early caution. When the action resumed, he continued to set a torrid pace though behind him Andy Forsberg was working his way into second.

With Forsberg moving into second to pursue Becker late in the race, Becker never allowed him to close in as he continued his strong pace all the way to his first feature event win of the season.
