Sean Becker Looks Forward to Bradway Weekend in Chico, CA
PETERSEN MEDIA- Fresh off of a doubleheader weekend along the California coast, Sean Becker is looking forward to getting to Chico, CA this weekend for the annual Dave Bradway Jr Memorial weekend.
“Qualifying has been tricky for us this season, but my team continues to work hard to try and get us right,” Sean Becker said. “We had a bit of a rough night on Friday, and Saturday night we were able to pick up a few spots with a little luck so we’re hoping to rebound this weekend in Chico, CA.”
Spending the weekend at Watsonville Speedway on Friday night, and Santa Maria Speedway on Saturday night, Becker opened the weekend up by timing in 14th and finishing seventh in his heat race.
Lining up 20th in the Friday night feature event, Becker got off to a nice start as he started working his way forward. Getting up into 14th in the first seven laps, contact with another car saw Becker get into the backstretch wall and slow to a stop.
Able to restart, Becker was again at the back of the field. Doing what he could with a slightly battered car, Becker closed the race out with a 16th place finish.
Saturday night the scene shifted to Santa Maria Speedway where Becker got things underway by timing in 12th fastest in qualifying time trials. Finishing fourth in heat race competition, Becker was locked into the 12th starting position in the feature event.
On a surface that proved to be very fast and tough to pass on, Becker was patient as he took advantage of some miscues that took place in front of him.
Working his way into the Top-10, Becker closed his night out with a seventh-place finish as he and his team now look forward to a doubleheader weekend in Chico, CA for the Champions Classic on Friday and the Dave Bradway Jr Memorial on Saturday.
“I have a very committed team behind me, and we are focused on righting the ship,” Becker added.
