PETERSEN MEDIA: Making her way to Chico, CA on Saturday night to take part in the Dave Bradway Jr Memorial, Mariah Ede was able to battle back from a tough qualifying effort and finish 12^th in the feature event.

“It was an up and down night for us, but in the end, I was happy we were able to come away with a 12^th place finish,” Mariah Ede said. “After getting taken out in our last two races, I was happy we were able to avoid some of the chaos that took place on Saturday as well.”

Getting the night underway by timing her Pacific Boring/M&L Plumbing/Circle J5 Ranch backed No. 14 in 23^rd fastest, the Fresno, CA driver lined up in the third row of heat race No. 3.

Running a very smart race, Ede was able to work her way up to a fourth-place finish which transferred her directly into the 40-lap feature event and locked her into the 15^th starting position.

As the annual Bradway Jr Memorial roared to life, Ede slipped back to 16^th in the opening laps, before she moved into 14^th on the 4^th lap.

Slipping back to 15^th as she battled some handling issues, Ede continued to fight hard as he was back in 14th after a restart just after the race’s halfway point. With the second half of the race hindered by constant stoppages, Ede wasn’t able to get into a rhythm, but she was able to race into the 9^th spot in the closing laps of the race.

One final restart with sixth to go did not play out in Ede’s favor as she slipped back to 12^th, which is where she went on to close the race out.

“My car was a little tricky in the feature, but we were able to pass some cars over the course of the race,” Ede said. “Thanks to my team for all of their hard work, and we’re looking forward to Tulare, CA this weekend.”
