Dylan Bloomfield Reunites with C&M Motorsports
PETERSEN MEDIA- Reuniting with C&M Motorsports over the weekend, Dylan Bloomfield and company fought gremlins on Friday night before racing into Saturday night’s Dennis Roth Classic feature event at Stockton Dirt Track.
“Our results over the weekend weren’t exactly what we had hoped for, but we had good speed and got better each time we hit the track for the most part,” Dylan Bloomfield said. “It was our first 410ci race together after a couple of 360ci races earlier this season so there was a bit of figuring out we had to do.”
Friday night kicked the weekend off with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series and Bloomfield timed the Lund Construction/Anrak/Sam Rhodes backed No. 7C in 27th fastest in time trials which put him in an early hole.
Heat race action saw the Oakley, CA driver get a nice jump as he worked his way up to fourth and into a transfer before the red flag flew. When cars got pushed off once the accident was cleared up, Bloomfield’s entry wouldn’t come back to life and his heat race was over.
After thrashing to diagnose and fix the issue before the ‘B’, Bloomfield was able to make the call for the “B”, where he went on to finish 11th.
Returning to action on Saturday night for the Dennis Roth Classic finale, Bloomfield got his night started off by timing in 26th fastest in time trials and again found himself in the seventh starting position of his heat race.
Just as he did on Friday night, Bloomfield got a good start on the tight confines of the Stockton Dirt Track as he jumped into the fifth and final transfer position. Not having any issues appear on this night, Bloomfield held on at the finish and transferred into the 40-lap feature event.
Taking the green flag from the 18th starting position, Bloomfield battled between 18th and 20th for much of the race as he struggled to get into a rhythm while battling in dense traffic.
When the fast-paced feature came to a close, Bloomfield took the checkered flag in 19th as he and the team now look forward to this weekend’s Fall Nationals event.
“After having issues to fight on Friday, Saturday went a lot smoother for us,” Bloomfield said. “We kind of fought the balance on our car but we still made the best of it, and definitely learned each other a little more.”
