Dylan Bloomfield and C&M Motorsports 3rd with NARC at Placerville Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA – A last minute change of plans worked well for Dylan Bloomfield and C&M Motorsports as they reunited on Saturday night and scored a third-place finish with NARC in Placerville, CA.

“I am extremely thankful things worked out and I was able to team back up with C&M Motorsports to run with NARC on Saturday,” Dylan Bloomfield said. “We had a ton of speed all night long, and I was happy to get the team on the podium.”

With 25 cars checked into the pit area, the Discovery Bay, CA driver timed the Lund Construction/Anrak/Sam Rhodes backed No. 7c in fourth fastest in qualifying time trials.

Lining up on the pole of his heat race, Bloomfield got the jump as the Ed Entz green flag was displayed to the field. Looking very strong out front, Bloomfield was able to pick up the win and move into the nightly Dash.

Finishing second in the Dash, Bloomfield was on the front row of the 30-lap feature event as he started alongside Colby Copeland. On a track that still had a lot of speed late in the night, Bloomfield settled into second as the race went green.

The first 13 laps went event free and amidst an exciting battle in traffic the caution flag briefly paused the action and gave the leaders clear track.

Back underway, Bloomfield continued to pace Copeland who held the top spot and kept him within striking distance. With laps clicking down, Bloomfield made a bid for the lead as they raced into turns three and four and as he slid up in front of Copeland the duo made slight contact and Copeland was able to turn back under Bloomfield and retain the top spot.

As Bloomfield settled back into second and looked to make another move on Copeland, he was faced with a challenge from Chance Grasty for the runner up position. With Grasty able to snake by him with just a few laps left in the race, Bloomfield held on to a third-place finish.

“Cody and Bobby gave me a great car all night long,” Bloomfield added. “I just made a mistake late in the race following the leader too long and it cost us a runner up result for sure, but it was still a really good night.”
