PETERSEN MEDIA: Returning to Kings Speedway in Hanford, CA on Saturday night to take part in the Cotton Classic, which also brought the end of the 2026 NARC schedule, Braden Chiaramonte picked up a 12^th place finish in the feature event.

“When we ran Hanford a few weeks ago with the Outlaws, I felt good, but that is when our motor problems started,” Braden Chiaramonte said. “Saturday night it was basically a blank slate for us and we definitely struggled at times.”

Getting the Cotton Classic kicked off in time trials, the El Cajon, CA driver got off to a tough start as he timed in 15^thfastest overall.

In an early hole, Chiaramonte lined up in the third row of his heat race on a track that was still fast and had some rough patches in both sets of corners. Setting into fifth as the eight-lap race came to life, Chiaramonte went on to finish there and found himself 15^th on the starting grid for the feature.

Continuing to work on his car and watch the ever-changing track conditions, Chiaramonte was set for the 30-lap finale. Moving into 13^th when the green lights flashed on, Chiaramonte kept pace as he looked to make his way into the Top-10.

Slipping back to 15^th as he got too tight on lap seven, Chiaramonte moved into 14^th on the race’s first restart. With passing tricky for much of the race, Chiaramonte continued to run in 14^th through a pair of restarts and as laps clicked away.

One final restart with two laps to go in the race allowed the youngster to pick up a pair of positions as he worked his way to 12^th when the checkered flag flew.

“I think we definitely learned some things on a bigger high-speed type of track,” Chiaramonte said. “With it just reopening, I’m sure it will be a place we visit a few more times in 2027, and a place that we will continue to learn at.”

BY THE NUMBERS: Starts- 27, Wins- 1, Top 5’s- 5, Top 10’s- 12

ON TAP: Chiaramonte will be idle before he returns to action in Tulare, CA on Oct. 29-31 for the Trophy Cup.
