Justin Sanders and Dale Miller Motorsports 3rd at Silver Cup
PETERSEN MEDIA- Coming off another standout season together, Justin Sanders and Dale Miller Motorsports kicked their 2025 campaign off over the weekend in Chico, CA where Sanders tallied a third place finish during Saturday’s finale.
“It was great to get another season with Dale Miller kicked off over the weekend,” Justin Sanders said. “Friday night didn’t end how we had hoped, but Saturday night we were back up battling for a win late in the race.”
Following a late incident Friday that relegated them to a 13th place finish, Sanders and team were bac kin action on Saturday night looking to score their first win of the season.
Timing the Anrak/Thompson’s family of Dealerships/Yuba Sutter Aviation backed No. 4SA in 11th fastest, Sanders lined up in the second row of his heat race. Racing into the second spot, he made a bid at the win to lock into the Dash, but coming up short, he locked into the mid-pack Dash where he lined up on the pole.
Leading all six-laps of the mid-pack dash, Sanders locked into the seventh starting position for the 35-lap Silver Cup feature event.
With a slick surface being offered up to the field on this night, Sanders was able to work his way forward as he hammered the cushion that was built up on both ends of the speedway.
Working into sixth in the initial laps, the Aromas, CA driver broke into the Top-Five on the 21st lap as he used traffic to find himself in third and chasing after Tanner Holmes and Shane Golobic.
Battling in traffic in the closing laps, Sanders capped of a solid opening weekend with Dale Miller Motorsports with a third place finish.
“It was good to have a chance to get our season started and see how everything felt,” Justin Sanders said. “We had some things to iron out, but I think we are in store for another good year together.”
