PETERSEN MEDIA- Teamed back up with Dale Miller Motorsports on Saturday night in Placerville, CA for the opening round of Sprint Car Challenge Tour action, Justin Sanders put together a strong night as he picked up a fifth place finish in the feature event.

With 41 cars on hand to open the 2025 SCCT slate on Saturday night at Placerville Speedway, Sanders hit the ground running as he timed the Anrak/Thompson’s Family of Dealerships/Yuba Sutter Aviation backed No. 4SA in third fastest in his qualifying flight.

Lining up on the front row of his heat race, Sanders wasted not time settling into the top spot as he jumped out to the early lead. Racing to the win, Sanders was solidly locked into the feature event and was also slated for the High Sierra Industries Dash by doing so.

Pulling the vaunted ‘eight’ in the Dash draw, Sanders lined up in the fourth row for the eight lap showdown. Able to improve his feature event starting spot by one full row after a sixth place finish, Sanders was set to take the green flag from the third row for the 35-lap affair.

When the race came to life, Sanders slipped back to sixth before he was able to race into the Top-5 on the seventh lap and take over the fourth position on the 14^th circuit.

Amidst hotly contested racing action all over the track, Sanders slipped back to fifth on the 18^th lap and then was back into sixth after near disaster on the 22^nd lap.

Gathering himself back up, Sanders was able to pick up a few spots as he capped the night off with a fifth place finish.

“It’s been a few weeks since we have been able to run together, and it was a solid night for us, but we all know we can be better,’ Sanders added. “I know next time we are out we will have a very fast racecar.”
