Sean Becker and Bjork Motorsports Tally Two Top-10’s in Chico, CA

PETERSEN MEDIA- Getting back in the seat of the Bjork Motorsports No. 7B entry for the first time since the KWS/NARC opener in early March, Sean Becker had a solid weekend in Chico, CA as he recorded a pair of Top-10 finishes during Mini Gold Cup weekend.

“I was really excited to team back up with the Bjork team at my home track,” Sean Becker said. “It’s nice to leave with a pair of Top-10 finishes but as a team we were collectively hoping to be a little better during the two nights of racing.”

Friday night opened the big weekend up as Becker timed the Bjork Construction/Kaeding Performance backed No. 7B in 12th fastest in qualifying time trials with 29 cars packed into the Silver Dollar Speedway pit area.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, ‘The Shark’ was able to settle into third as the eight-lap shootout got underway. Finishing third, Becker was locked into the feature event as he took the green flag from the 12th starting position.

A very hooked up and treacherous Silver Dollar Speedway racing surface was offered up on Friday night, and it created some exciting action with cars biking and bouncing all over for 30-laps.

Getting into a few hotly contested battles, including a very entertaining battle with good friend, Andy Forsberg, Becker was able to race into the Top-10 and close the night out with an eighth place finish.

Back in action on Saturday night for the Mini Gold Cup finale as well as the second round of the 2025 NARC campaign, Becker timed in eighth quickest in his qualifying group and again lined up in the second row of his heat race.

Finishing third on a surface that was polar opposite from Friday night, Becker again locked into the feature event where he took the green flag from the 13th starting position.

After a pre-race track rework, the track shifted a few times during the feature event as the top was preferred early before cars moved lower on the speedway and then got back to the cushion in the waning laps.

Racing his way into the Top-10 again, Becker capped the night off with a ninth place finish.

“Qualifying is huge with the 410ci format, and I need to step my game up to put us in better positons,” Sean Becker said. “If you can get timed in well, it sets you up to be in the Dash or the redraw, and that is huge with these guys.”

BY THE NUMBERS: Starts-4, Wins-0, Top 5’s- 1, Top-10’s- 4

ON TAP: Becker will be back in action on Saturday night as he returns to his roots and makes an Outlaw Kart start at Cycleland Speedway.
