Dakota Albright 3rd at Placerville Speedway

PETERSEN MEDIA- Though he continues to chase after his first win of the 2025 season, Dakota Albright remained hot over the weekend as he picked up a third place finish at Placerville Speedway.

“Overall, it was another good night for the team,” Dakota Albright said. “We didn’t get timed in all that well, but we were strong in racing action and some big moves allowed me to work forward and score another podium.”

Timing the Thompson’s Family of Dealerships/Johnson and Matos CPA’s/Greenwood Machine and Fab backed No. 35Jr in fourth fastest in qualifying time trials, Albright went on to win his heat race from the front row starting position.

Find himself in the third row of the feature event, the bottom dominant track conditions proved tricky to make up ground for the BCRA lighting sprints.

With much of the field using the bottom, Albright was able to get out of line and make a couple of big moves as he quickly worked his way into third as he chased after Hunter Kinney and Greg Dennett.

Continuing to work his way around the Placerville Speedway surface, Albright was able to get into second, only to see the caution flag fly and negate his efforts as he moved back to third for a final restart.

Throwing all he had at Dennett for the runner up position, Albright was unable to get back into second as he capped the night off with a third place finish as he now sets his sights on Merced Speedway this coming weekend, a track that has treated him well in the past.

“We were able to make some spicy moves, but as the race went on the top just got to be too far around and I couldn’t make it work so we settled for third,” Albright added. “Thanks to everyone that continues to support this team week in and week out.”

Dakota Albright would like to thank Thompson’s Family of Dealerships, Johnson and Matos CPA’s, Greenwood Machine and Fabrication, 530 Wraps, Oval Chassis Research, Parker Performance and Fabrication, Romey’s Window Cleaning, Nurcher Milk, Angels Heavy Haul, West Steel and Plastics, Calhot Powder Coating, Sala Racing, Petersen Media, and Simpson Race Products for their support in 2025.

ON TAP: Albright is set to return to action on Saturday night in Merced, CA.
