Becker Runs 4th and 8th at Calistoga Speedway
PETERSEN MEDIA- Taking part in the revival of Calistoga Speedway over the weekend with Bjork Motorsports, Sean Becker finished fourth and eighth respectively with NARC as the 2025 season begins it’s homestretch.
“It was great to be back at Calistoga Speedway over the weekend,” Sean Becker said. “Saturday night we were really good, but I just made a couple of late mistakes and on Sunday night we were off the pace, but we fought hard to salvage the night.”
The action in the Napa Valley kicked off on Saturday night, and Becker had a nice start to the night as he timed the Bjork Construction backed No. 7B in second fastest in qualifying time trials.
With heat races being cancelled, Becker lined up on the front row of the feature event as he shared the front row with James McFadden. Setting into second as the race came to life, Becker chased after McFadden until he began to feel pressure for the spot from Spencer Bayston.
Keeping Bayston at bay for a few laps, Becker finally slipped to third on the 10th lap, before Shane Golobic got by him a few laps later to drop Becker back to fourth.
Able to hold his spot inside the Top-5 in the final laps, Becker capped the night off with a fourth place finish in the first race at Calistoga Speedway since the 2019 season.
Back for more on Sunday, Becker didn’t get timed in as well as he ended up 13th fastest in qualifying time trials, but was able to pick up a couple of positions in his heat race as he finished sixth.
With the Bjork Motorsports team continuing to make adjustments prior to the feature event, Becker took the green flag from the 11th starting spot.
Rolling around in 11th in the opening portion of the race with much of the field in single file formation.
Issues with a couple of drivers on the 10th lap allowed Becker to move into ninth.
Getting into eighth on a lap 11 restart, Becker made a couple of late bids to get into seventh, but passing was ultra tough at Calistoga Speedway.
In the end, Becker capped the return of Calistoga Speedway off with an eighth place finish.
