Mariah Ede Set For World of Outlaws CA Swing

PETERSEN MEDIA: With a tough finish at Placerville Speedway behind her, Mariah Ede and the Mariah Ede Racing team are poised to spend their next two weekends competing with the World of Outlaws as the series makes it’s annual late summer swing through California.

“Saturday night was just a struggle all around,” Mariah Ede said. “I just struggled to get comfortable, and then in the feature we had some help getting knocked off the track and it ultimately ended our night.”

Kicking the night off by timing in 19th fastest in qualifying time trials, Ede’s seventh place finish in her heat race put her in the 10th row of the 30-lap feature event aboard the Pacific Boring/M&L Plumbing/Circle J5 Ranch backed No. 14 entry.

With her crew continuing to work hard on her car as the night progressed, Ede hit the track for the feature event, and quickly settled into 20th when the race went green. Moving into 19th on the seventh lap, Ede was up into 16th on the eighth lap as the opening laps of the race showed some quick progress.

Continuing to run in 16th as the laps clicked down and racing got more close knit, Ede moved into 15th on the 20th lap and then that close quarter action bit her as contact sent her over the edge of the track.

With not caution flag flying, Ede had fallen to the back, and opted to head back to the pit area and call it a night.

Though the result wasn’t what she and her team and hoped, Ede was happy with the changes they made to her car as they moved into the feature event and that has her excited for four tough races with the World of Outlaws coming up over the next two weekends.

“When we got going in the feature, I definitely was happy with the improvements we made, and I am hopeful that gives us a good starting point for this stretch upcoming with the World of Outlaws,” Ede noted.

Mariah Ede and the Mariah Ede Racing team would like to thank Pacific Boring, M&L Plumbing, Circle J5 Ranch, FK Rod Ends, and MetTec Titanium for their support.

ON TAP: Mariah Ede will now turn her attention to the World of Outlaws CA swing which kick off on Friday night at Bakersfield Speedway before heading to Perris Auto Speedway on Saturday night.
