Mariah Ede Learns From World of Outlaws During Opening Weekend of CA Swing
PETERSEN MEDIA: Traveling to Bakersfield, CA and Lake Perris, CA over the weekend to take on the World of Outlaws during their first of two weekends in California, Mariah Ede went to school essentially and tried to learn as much as she could racing against some of the best in the world.
“Anytime you race against the World of Outlaws or High Limit, you know it’s going to be a struggle, but it is also a chance to learn,” Mariah Ede said. “They push the limit so far and to keep up with their pace you must learn to push yourself as well as its great to get laps with them and continue to learn and adapt.
Having a rough night on Friday in Bakersfield, CA, Ede failed to make the feature event as she slipped back to a seventh-place finish in the ‘B’ on what was a very tricky surface all night long.
Saturday night, the scene shifted to Southern California as the Perris Auto Speedway played host.
Timing her Pacific Boring/M&L Plumbing/Circle J5 Ranch backed No. 14 entry in 23rd fastest, an eighth-place finish in her heat race lined her up 23rd in the 30-lap feature event.
Hitting her second half mile track of the month, Ede focused on hitting her marks and learning the nuances that air plays on the bigger surfaces. Battling with the likes of Zach Hampton and Cole Macedo at times in the feature event, Ede capped her weekend off with a 21st place finish as she now looks forward to two more nights with the Outlaws in Tulare, CA for this week’s Dennis Roth Classic.
“We continue to get our car better each time we hit the track, and that is also huge with these teams and for our program in general,” Ede added. “Doug Watts has been great to work with the last few weeks and I’m happy we have him on our team and in our corner.”
Mariah Ede and the Mariah Ede Racing team would like to thank Pacific Boring, M&L Plumbing, Circle J5 Ranch, FK Rod Ends, and MetTec Titanium for their support.
ON TAP: Mariah Ede will be back in action with the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series this weekend as she heads to Tulare, CA on Friday and Saturday night.
