Ashton Torgerson 17th in NARC Season Opener As Attention Shifts to High Limit Swing
PETERSEN MEDIA- Saturday night, Ashton Torgerson and Clayton Snow kicked their 2025 season off together as they took part in the NARC season opener. Showing speed early in the night, Torgerson ultimately settled for a 17th place finish as he and the Snow Racing team now prepare to battle with High Limit Racing during their comping West Coast swing.
Torgerson and company got off to a solid start to the night as the Glendale, AZ driver timed in eighth fastest amongst the 25 drivers that were checked in for the series’ season opening event.
Lining up on the front row of his heat race, a second place finish not only locked the series rookie into the feature event, it also cemented him into the Dash where a sixth place finish put him in the third row of the 30-lap feature event.
When the race came to life, Torgerson hung in the seventh spot for a few laps before a restart allowed him to power his way into fifth. Once in fifth, another restart saw him lose those positions he gained as he fell back to eighth.
Settling into eighth as the race got into a fast-paced green flag run, Torgerson was in ninth when a caution slowed the fun with just six laps left. Those final six laps saw Torgerson make a couple of mistakes that proved to be costly as he fell back to 11th, before slipping back to 17th on the last lap where he ultimately finished during the opening event of the NARC season.
